Lukas

Hi, I’m Lukas. I've just completed my Masters in Engineering at Keble College, Oxford. At A-level, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, and Physics, receiving three A*s and one A.

I have over 5 years experience tutoring students across a range of ages and abilities. This varies from small classes that focus on collaborative learning to one-on-one tutoring where lessons can be tailored to the student's requirements. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to explain difficult concepts in ways that are most understandable for each student. I lead both in-person and online tutoring, ensuring students have access to resources that best aid their development. Along with this, I have helped students prepare for PAT exams and develop key skills required to pass Oxbridge interviews.

Outside of my academics, I enjoy playing rugby and tennis, and like to keep updated with new Engineering developments. I am particularly interested in mechanical and software engineering because I enjoy the visualisation and problem-solving aspects of these subjects. I believe it is important to draw out the problem you are working on, break it down into smaller problems, and tackle it step-by-step.

I think one of the main roles of a tutor is to help students develop confidence in their subjects by creating an interesting and engaging learning environment. This approach helps them go into exams and interviews with a positive attitude. I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for the subjects I enjoy and encourage students to challenge their own abilities!
