Our TUtors - Kristian Wong
Kristian, English - UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
Hello! I’m Kristian and I recently graduated from Brasenose College, University of Oxford, where I read English Literature and Language. During my time at Oxford, I was awarded a Distinction in my Preliminary Examinations. Alongside my degree, I served as a Student Outreach Ambassador for Brasenose College, mentoring prospective applicants through every stage of the Oxford admissions process. This included conducting mock interviews, advising on personal statements, and helping students develop the critical thinking and intellectual confidence expected at Oxbridge.
I also worked as Research Assistant to Professor Simon Palfrey, one of the world’s leading Shakespeare scholars, contributing to research for his forthcoming Shakespeare monograph. This was a wonderful opportunity to engage with literary scholarship at the highest academic level and building the close reading, analytical, and research skills that I bring to my teaching.
At A level I achieved A*A*A in English Literature, History and Latin, alongside twelve grade 9s at GCSEs. With many years of experience tutoring students across different age groups, I have had the privilege of helping students achieve outstanding results while building their confidence and passion towards the subject. I am especially grateful to have received consistently excellent feedback from both students and parents, reflecting my commitment to delivering engaging, personalised tutoring.
